The Trhová Kamenice Museum is located in a former fishpond castle that was converted into a parish house in the Baroque style. Today, the building houses a museum and exhibition rooms.

Culture

The museum building on the square next to the church also houses the Haunted Cellar. The historic well once again defines Trhová Kamenice’s square and is fed by flowing water.

Nature

After mining ended, the former granite quarries of Lomy naturally filled with water, and trees grew up around them.

The Zubří Nature Reserve comprises a mat-grass heath with springs emerging at the surface, where peat and wetlands form in the lower areas.

Upolínová loučka is a protected natural monument where globeflowers grow. The meadow may not be entered.

Events

A pilgrimage takes place every year in May at the pilgrimage chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, on the saint’s feast day.

The Trhovokamenická pilgrimage takes place on Raisovo náměstí in May, before or on the feast day of Saints Philip and James.

“Sejdeme se na rynku” takes place on the first Sunday of June from 10 a.m. in the square, featuring craft markets and a cultural programme.
