The largest accessible dwelling carved into the sandstone in Zderaz comprises a living area and a stable and features a replica of a historic clay oven.

Culture

A smaller accessible cellar houses a photo exhibition about Zderaz’s preserved cellars. The Zderazský domeček features a permanent exhibition on the history of the village. The Zderazský domeček is located in the centre of the village on the main road towards Skuteč and Nové Hrady; the permanent exhibition covers the local history of washing, agriculture, weaving and skiing. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is one of Zderaz’s important landmarks. At the southern end of Zderaz, a dwelling carved into the sandstone is protected as a monument.

Nature

The Maštale Nature Reserve extends across the cadastral area of Zderaz. It covers 1,083.6 hectares and features a gently undulating relief with significant Upper Cretaceous, particularly glauconitic Cenomanian sandstones. Zderaz is a starting point for visiting the Pivnice Natural Monument. The Pivnice Natural Monument is temporarily closed due to a landslide and ongoing damage to the gorge walls. Public access to the Pivnice Natural Monument is restricted to the tourist-marked trail until 22 May 2030.

Near Zderaz is the natural rock formation Zajíc, with a statue of a hare; marked trails lead there from Zderaz or from the trail junction near the Polanka cottage. Near the Polanka cottage is the Kapalice spring, about 500 metres away; a marked trail leading there is suitable for cyclists and small children. Near Zderaz, between Zderaz and the Polanka cottage, lie the Kúpadla, three small ponds arranged one above the other. In the vicinity of the Polanka cottage, between Polanka and Bor u Skutče, lies the natural rock formation Kazatelna; a cycle path passes by it.
