Sobětuchy lies southwest of Chrudim on the border between the Iron Mountains and the Polabian Plain. Sobětuchy offers a magnificent view of the panorama of the Iron Mountains.

Cycling

The approximately 20 km cycling tour “Crossing Podhůra Far and Wide” passes through Sobětuchy. It runs mostly through easy terrain; trekking bikes are recommended. The return journey follows cycle route 4111 through Sobětuchy and Vrcha to Chrudim.

Nature and trails

The Markovický potok stream flows through Sobětuchy. Kozojedský rybník pond lies along the course of the Markovický potok west of the Vrchy settlement.

Culture and history

The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity is located in the Pouchobrady settlement belonging to the municipality of Sobětuchy, near Chrudim, and dates from the early 14th century. Remnants of wall paintings from the second half of the 14th century have been preserved in the presbytery. A red-marked hiking trail from Chrudim to Třemošnice passes the Church of the Holy Trinity in Pouchobrady. Log house No. 16 in Sobětuchy is considered interesting from a cultural-historical and architectural perspective.
