Žáravice: Hotels and accommodations
At the northeastern edge of the municipality of Žáravice, above Švihov Pond, lies the castle site of the fortification, locally known as “Na Hradech”. The site features double ramparts and ditches; in the south, there are even triple ramparts, which are 8 to 10 meters high in places.
History and culture
Žáravice is home to archaeological traces of the medieval Hrada fortification, also known as Sušina. The open-air theatre in Žáravice was built in 1954 by local residents for their amateur theatre group. Numerous performances take place at the open-air theatre in Žáravice during the summer.
Nature
The Na Hradech nature reserve was designated on February 17, 1956, and covers 9.5189 hectares.
Cycling route
The signposted local cycling route 4274 runs through Žáravice. It connects Vápno, Žáravice, Vyšehněvice, Rozhrna Pond, and Lázně Bohdaneč.
