Mokošín: Hotels and Accommodations

In Mokošín, a geological educational cycle path and local cultural landmarks come together. MAGEO begins at the train station in Přelouč and leads through Mokošín; one of its thirteen information-panel stations runs through the village. The 29-kilometre geological educational cycle path is located in the Železné hory National Geopark.

Culture

The „Boží muka“ wayside shrine in Mokošín is a stone cross on a pedestal with a Madonna. In 2007, the statue of Mokoš was carved from a linden tree described as “Slavic”, based on a design by woodcarver Miroslav Landovský. People bring fruit as offerings and light candles at the Mokoš statue. Beneath the cross in Mokošín is a depiction of the Lamb of God. In the western part of Mokošín, there is also a cross within a larger metal enclosure.

Nature

Křemen offers a view of Přelouč; in good visibility, the view extends as far as the Krkonoše Mountains.
