The polycultural archaeological site lies on a gently sloping plain at the western and northwestern foot of the Na Kopec rise, on the boundary between the cadastral areas of Mikulovice u Pardubic and Dražkovice. It yielded luxury imports from the Black Sea region and the Roman Empire, which also attest to the presence of elites at this site.

St. Wenceslas Church stands on a gentle rise on the eastern edge of Mikulovice and is visible from far away; the view opens out over the surrounding area.
