Winter and Exercise
When snow conditions are suitable, a cross-country ski trail several kilometres long runs from the local ski area via Kašparova chata and back. In good snow conditions, the cross-country ski trails and routes around České Petrovice cover more than 35 km.
Nature and Views
The Království přírodních sil educational trail has six stations, is approximately 700 m long and has an elevation difference of 100 m. It ends at the Amálka viewing platform. From there, you can enjoy a view of the Orlické Mountains and Poland.
The Amálka viewing platform stands near the upper end of a ski slope on the northern slope of the 765 m-high Mount Adam.
The Zemská brána Nature Reserve is primarily accessible to visitors via a blue-marked hiking trail along the Wild Orlice; an educational trail follows the same route.
The mountains of Sikornik, Vysoký Kámen, Sieniec and Urwista are located in the area around Petrovice.
Culture and History
The K-S 46 “V zátiší” infantry bunker offers tours of reconstructed rooms featuring historical weapons, documents and uniforms. It was built as part of the line of heavy fortifications along the former border between Czechoslovakia and Germany.
From České Petrovice, the K-S 46 “V zátiší” infantry bunker can initially be reached via an asphalt road and then via a dirt track.
In the wider regional area around Petrovice are Gorzanów - Pałac Castle, Trzebieszowice Castle and the ruins of Nový Hrad.
