Horní Hermanice V Cechách: Hotels and Accommodations

Horní Heřmanice features well-maintained wooden houses that illustrate the local folk architecture. The ridge hiking trail through the Bukovohorská Mountains runs through the upper part of the village. It offers beautiful views of Bohemia and the Moravian side all year round. In addition, the signposted cycle route 4253 passes through Horní Heřmanice.

A green-marked hiking trail leads from Horní Heřmanice southward to the summit of Lázek at an elevation of 714 meters. In a northerly direction, the same green-marked hiking trail leads to the summit of Buková hora at an elevation of 958 meters.

The High Baroque Church of St. George was built from 1708 to 1712. The entire Church of St. George complex, including the cemetery gate and chapel, is designated as a cultural monument. The rural religious complex also includes a Baroque brick ossuary dating from around 1700. The Late Baroque crucifix in the religious complex dates from 1788. Near the church and the rectory stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1767.

Rural building culture is also represented by individual historical examples. The Výměnek is a preserved remnant of a former rural farmstead from the 19th century and evidence of traditional folk architecture in the Ústí nad Orlicí area. Dolní, Havlenův mlýn is a valuable example of folk architecture in the Lanškroun area; as an old wooden water mill, it was built in 1748 by Ferdinand Dittrich.
