Orličky: Hotels and accommodations
The Rozhledna Suchý vrch lookout tower is a 33-meter-high concrete tower. Its observation platform is 22 meters above the ground and can be reached via 128 steps. The tower is accessible year-round and is a hiking destination in summer.
Nature and landscape
Orličky is located along the upper course of the Orlička stream. In the surrounding area, a path follows the stream to the picturesque Hradiska Valley, which is enclosed by rocks on both sides.
Culture and history
The foundation stone of the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Orličky was laid on September 18, 1775; the church was completed on October 11, 1778. The church is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.
The local history describes Orličky as a lumberjack settlement. There may also have been glassmaking activity in Orličky.
Winter and orientation
Červenovodské sedlo is one of the most important starting points for cross-country ski trails. Depending on snow conditions, between 50 and 80 kilometers of cross-country ski trails are maintained in the Buková hora–Suchý vrch cross-country skiing area.
The Červenovodské sedlo Tourist Information Center in Orličky provides information about the surrounding area, promotional materials, maps, postcards, public internet access, and the opportunity for tourist accommodation.
Kramářova chata can be reached via Main Road 11 from Jablonné nad Orlicí or Červená Voda, and then via a 3.5-kilometer-long paved road through the forest from Červenovodské Sedlo.
