Nature and Trails

The “Naučná stezka údolím řeky Svitavy” is approximately 8 km long, marked as a local circular trail, and runs mainly along unpaved field and forest paths. Along the trail, there are 13 information boards about nature, the landscape, and the history of human settlement.

The “Dobře ukrytá rozhledna Járy Cimrmana” is part of the “Naučná stezka údolím řeky Svitavy”, which begins behind the Dlouhá railway stop. The “Dobře ukrytá rozhledna Járy Cimrmana” is 20 m high; its viewing platform is 15 m above the surrounding terrain.

The “Ovocná alej” is a quiet path where visitors can see original tree varieties as well as the first cultivated, resilient varieties. In 2006, the town of Březová nad Svitavou implemented the “Jabloňová alej” project; 140 trees were planted as part of the avenue.

Culture and History

The parish church “Kostel sv. Bartolomeje” in Březová nad Svitavou was built in the 13th century and underwent its final Baroque renovation in 1725.

The “První březovský vodovod” was built for Brno between 1911 and 1913 and remains a functioning technical monument to this day.

Milling was traditionally widespread in Březová nad Svitavou and produced “březovská mouka”.

The Březová nad Svitavou Information Centre is designated as a “Via-Czechia-friendly place”.
