Culture and History

The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a landmark of the village of Koruna. In the vicinity of Koruna, the former Koruna Panny Marie Monastery became a pilgrimage site visited by pilgrims from the wider surrounding area. Visible remains of the Gothic Augustinian monastery of Koruna Panny Marie, founded in 1267 and dissolved in 1552, are located in the cadastral area of Třebařov, in the vicinity of Koruna.

Events

In both 2024 and 2025, the traditional witch-burning event took place in Koruna on April 26, featuring a bonfire, a witch effigy, and mackerel.
