Pohledy: Hotels and accommodations

The slopes northeast of Pohledy are protected as a significant landscape feature and feature characteristic steppe vegetation. In addition, Pastvina in Pohledy is designated as a registered significant landscape feature.

Culture

In the center of Pohledy, the Chapel of Saint Vitus stands on the main road. It was built in 1737 and was associated with the function of a municipal bell tower. A tall stone crucifix stands in front of the chapel. In 2003, it was entered on the state list of cultural monuments.

The Church of Saint Nicholas stands above Horní Hynčina in the middle of a cemetery. It was rebuilt in 1759 based on an originally Gothic structure. Its tower has four bells, including the largest one, dating from 1599. In 1964, the church was entered on the list of cultural monuments. A monument to the victims of the First World War has stood nearby since 1921. Services are regularly held in the church on Sundays and public holidays.

History

Pohledy and Horní Hynčina were founded around 1270 through the German colonization carried out by Olomouc Bishop Bruno of Schauenburg. On the summit of Písečná, the partisan group of Olex Borkaňuk was dropped on January 21, 1945.

Two cycling routes run through Pohledy. A red-marked hiking trail also runs through Pohledy.
