Pustá Rybná: Hotels and Accommodation

Pustá Rybná has a natural feature known as Rybenské Perničky that can be described precisely: the rocks consist of two separate blocks of the frost cliff type, with wall heights of 16 and 8 metres. These rock blocks contain three rock basins; the largest is up to 60 centimetres wide and 20 centimetres deep.

Nature

The Damašek Nature Reserve lies on the northwestern edge of the municipality of Pustá Rybná. It is located in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area, in the first protection zone. Damašek consists of semi-natural wet peat meadows in the floodplain of the meandering Hlučál stream, where protected and endangered plant and animal species occur. Numerous rare and endangered vascular plants also grow there.

The mountains of Devět Skal, Jarošov, Žákova hora and Librův Kopec lie in the vicinity of Pustá Rybná.

At the cadastral boundary between Pustá Rybná and Březiny, the self-service station Lesní bar Na Šupalce is located directly on the red-marked tourist route to Rybenské Perničky. The station is alcohol-free and serves hikers and cyclists looking for refreshment.

Culture

According to local tradition, the Osmiboká roubená stodola was the first meeting place of tolerated church members. The restored polygonal building houses a permanent exhibition featuring old agricultural machinery and historical tools.

Church

The filial church is dedicated to the Apostle Bartholomew. On 4 August 2015, a pilgrimage mass held twice a year and a Mass on All Souls’ Day were scheduled there.
