Radiměř: Hotels and Accommodation

The listed Church of St. Anne is a late Baroque building dating from 1771–1776. Its construction history goes back further, however: the church preserves an originally Gothic presbytery from the second half of the 14th century, which remained as the eastern chapel. Inside is a late Gothic wooden relief carving of Saint Anne Selbdritt from the early 16th century.

Culture and History

The Church and Cemetery Complex of St. Anne is located in a prominent position in the centre of Radiměř. Local sights also include the Chapel of St. John. The Holy Trinity Column in Radiměř dates from 1888.

Landscape and Nature

Sections of the Radiměřský potok also formed the historic border between Bohemia and Moravia in the area of today’s municipality of Radiměř. The landscape around Radiměř is hilly and includes meadows, forests, agricultural land and pastures. From the highest point of the entire market town of Radiměř, there are views over the surrounding landscape, neighbouring municipalities and the town of Svitavy.

In places, the Radiměřské Motýlí království features very dry, naturally unforested white slopes as well as small wetlands. The area has a very high diversity of species, including several orchid species and dozens of species of butterflies. The critically endangered butterfly modrásek černoskvrnný is also found here. The Radiměřské Motýlí království is located near Radiměř, not far from Svitavy in eastern Bohemia, and comprises thermophilous slopes, field margins and scattered orchards with short-grass dry grasslands and mesophilous meadows.

Cycling

The Radiměř–Svojanov cycle route is marked with road signs. Its challenging course is suitable for all types of bicycles and leads through Radiměř, Rohozná and Svojanov.
