Rozhraní lies in the Svitava Valley. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in 1790 in the then-independent municipality of Bradlné. It stands on a low hill above a small pond and features characteristic Neo-Romanesque articulation of the exterior.

Culture and history

Rozhraní has always been located on the border between the administrative regions of Bohemia and Moravia, as well as on the border of the dioceses of Hradec Králové, Olomouc, and Brno. Following the events of Munich in 1938, the border between the reduced Czechoslovak Republic and the Sudetenland ran through Rozhraní. In Rozhraní, the monument to fallen local citizens was restored and, after 86 years, moved to a new park.

Nature

The Opukové jeskyně Cave is 400 meters long and inaccessible. It lies on the left slope of the valley of a stream flowing from Študlov, above the former municipality and settlement of Bradlné.

The protected European beech, designated as a memorial tree, has a trunk circumference of 555 centimeters and is 30 meters tall. Its age is estimated at 300 years.

Geographical setting

A cycle path runs through Rozhraní.
