Sebranice: Hotels and Accommodation

In Sebranice, attractions include the 8.5 km-long educational trail “Sebranice in History and the Present,” the Church of St. Nicholas and a railway monument, as well as sports facilities at the outdoor swimming pool. Other destinations include the natural areas around the Jalový potok stream and in the Vysoký Les area.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas in Sebranice combines partly Gothic and partly simple Renaissance elements. The annual event “Živý obraz u kolejí,” held on St. Wenceslas Day, brings people dressed in clothing from the First Republic together under a lime tree to create a living picture in the landscape.

The railway monument in Sebranice includes a functioning 4.15 m-long section of track.

Nature

The Jalový potok stream and its spring-fed surroundings provide suitable habitats for plants and animals of wet meadows and forest edges. The protected natural monument “Sněženky ve Vysokém lese” is located near the hamlet of Vysoký Les. The “V bukách” nature reserve is also located in the Vysoký Les area.

Toulovcova kašna stands at a plentiful water source and is supplied year-round with clear, though iron-rich, water. The sycamore maple in Třemošná is designated as a commemorative tree.

Trails and Sports

The educational trail “Restoration of the Chapels in Vysoký Les” is 6 km long and focuses on the reconstruction of chapels, old paths and stories from the surrounding area. It leads to the Schlesinger Chapel, a spring and the protected natural monument “Sněženky ve Vysokém lese”; most of the route can be covered by bicycle.

The sports complex at the outdoor swimming pool has an artificial-turf court for tennis, nohejbal, volleyball, football and speed badminton. The sports complex at the outdoor swimming pool also includes two courts for beach volleyball and beach football.

Staying at the Outdoor Swimming Pool

Next to the Sebranice outdoor swimming pool, it is possible to stay overnight in tents and caravans on a grassy area; there is an electrical connection, a restaurant and sanitary facilities.
