Staré Město: Hotels and Accommodation

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Catherine, Virgin and Martyr, is a completely preserved, enclosed complex of a rural stone parish church. The originally Late Gothic church from the 13th century was rebuilt in the Late Baroque style at the end of the 18th century. Its main altar features a Rococo painting of Saint Catherine by Judas Thaddaeus Supper from the second half of the 18th century.

The Calvary complex consists of a central cross and two figures of saints on either side: Saint John the Evangelist and the Virgin Mary. The Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is dated 15 May 1716 and attributed to Anton Stelzl.

The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is built of stone, has a smooth, semicircular shape, and is topped by a wavy gable. The Chapel of the Holy Cross near the Church of Saint Catherine in Staré Město is designated as an immovable cultural monument. Třebovské hradisko is a pentagonal fortified hilltop settlement with archaeological remains, surrounded by a ditch and rampart.
