Brodeslavy is a village first mentioned in 1144. Its cadastral area belongs to the Berounka Nature Park.

History

Until the beginning of the Hussite Wars in 1419, Brodeslavy belonged to the property of Plasy Cistercian Monastery. In 1559, Brodeslavy became part of the Kaceřov estate of the influential Florián Gryspek.

Nature and Landscape

The Berounka Nature Park protects the landscape character of the deeply incised Berounka Valley and its tributaries, the rock outcrops, the adjacent forest complexes, and the agricultural landscape. In the center of the village of Brodeslavy lies a small pond, and the Brodeslavský stream flows through the village of Brodeslavy. The local Kralovice III cycle route also runs through the municipality of Brodeslavy.

In the immediate vicinity of Brodeslavy are Homole [Kožlany - Dřevec], a hill; Bílý vrch [Kozojedy u Kralovic], a hill; and Na Chocholouši [Hlince], a hill. In the wider regional surroundings of Brodeslavy are Berdovna, a mountain, and Týřov, a ruin.

In the center of the village of Brodeslavy stands a rectangular chapel from 1877 with two small turrets. The cemetery of Brodeslavy is well maintained and in use; it lies outside the village on the road toward Bohy.
