Druztová combines distinctive historical monuments with nature along the river and in Horní Berounka Nature Park. The town’s history includes the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk, and the Věžka castle ruins on a rocky summit above the Berounka.
Culture and history
The Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Druztová was built in 1351 and was originally Gothic. It was extended in 1699; at that time, its presbytery received a barrel vault and the nave a wooden coffered ceiling. Its furnishings also include a Neo-Gothic high altar from 1906.
The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was completed in 1745 and consecrated after 196 days of construction. The Baroque building has a hexagonal floor plan; a statue of St. John of Nepomuk stands above its entrance portal. Masses are still celebrated in the chapel in winter.
Věžka castle ruins
Věžka Castle was destroyed in 1478. Today, only remnants of the surrounding walls and inner buildings remain. The castle ruins are located in Druztová on a rocky summit above the left bank of the Berounka.

Malochova skalka is a protected nature reserve with rare flora in Horní Berounka Nature Park. The “In the Footsteps of František Moloch” educational trail was established in Druztová in 2003 and comprises 11 information panels. The “In the Footsteps of František Maloch” educational trail leads through Horní Berounka Nature Park.
