Chotíkov: Hotels and Accommodation

The local history of Chotíkov goes back a long way: the first surviving document about Chotíkov is a Latin charter dated 25 June 1344. A parish church already existed in Chotíkov in 1352.

History

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Chotíkov was newly built from 1834 to 1835 on the site of the predecessor church, which had been closed in 1828. A faithful copy of the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk was reinstalled at its original location in Poplužní Dvůr in Chotíkov on 1 July 2026.

Getting Around

The Svatojakubská footbridge in Chotíkov restores a crossing of the busy I/20 road for pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge is also part of the tourist route Svatojakubská cesta, the Camino de Santiago, which leads to the tomb of Saint James the Elder in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in the Spanish region of Galicia.

Nature

The Včelí stezka educational trail in Chotíkov begins at the fire station and uses activities to teach visitors in a playful way about the importance of bees for nature and people. The Petrovka protected area attracts visitors for walks and sporting activities.

Berdovna Mountain is located in the vicinity of Chotíkov, as is the church Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral.
