Hlince: Hotels and Accommodation

Hlince lies on the left bank of the Berounka in a wooded, touristically attractive landscape. The area is suitable for hiking, water-based, equestrian and cycling tourism.

Landscape and Trails

The “Lipová alej republiky” is a double-sided avenue of small-leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata) along the road from Hlince to the settlement of Ptyč (Park Berne). The Berounka Nature Park is also part of the protected landscape. It preserves the Berounka Valley’s surviving landscape character, with rock outcrops, adjoining forests, agriculturally used land and a historic settlement structure.

Cycling

The recurring community cycling tour “Hlineckým rájem” is organized by the Municipality of Hlince and the local volunteer fire brigade on the second Saturday in September. It includes cycling routes of approximately 30, 41 and 57 kilometres.

Culture and Events

A 19th-century chapel forms the focal point of Hlince village square. The rebuilt wayside niche chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows received an award on 28 July 2018 in the regional round of the “Golden Brick in the Rural Renewal Programme” competition in Kamenný Újezd.

The Church of St Peter and Paul in Dolany near Hlince, together with the surrounding properties, is protected as an immovable cultural monument. Pilgrimages dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, concerts and exhibitions are regularly held in the church.

The Na Chocholouši hill [Hlince] and the hill (Nad hřbitovem) [Kladruby-Hřešihlavy] are located in the immediate vicinity of Hlince. The Týřov ruins and the U Svatého Petra and Svatý Martin churches are located in the vicinity of Hlince. In the wider regional area are Holý vrch mountain, Hřeben mountain and the Valdek ruins.
