Dobriv: Hotels and accommodation

Dobřív is home to Vodní hamr Dobřív, a fully functioning technical monument dating from the late 19th century. The hammer mill features an exhibition on ironworking in the Podbrdsko region and the ironmaking industry in Dobřív.

Culture and history

Hamernický den takes place every year on the third Saturday in May in the grounds of the Vodní hamr in Dobřív, a national cultural monument. The exhibition in the Pamětní síň Jindřicha Mošny was established in 2005 in a house previously inhabited by his wife's family.

The Švédský kamenný most in Dobřív is a single-arch rubble-stone bridge over the Padrťský potok. Beranova chalupa is also noteworthy for its good state of preservation.

The Church of Svatý Martin is located in the vicinity of Dobřív. In the wider region around Dobřív are the Zřícenina Valdek and Týřov ruins, as well as the Church of U Svatého Petra.

A yellow-marked KČT hiking trail begins in the village square of Dobřív and leads north into Trhoň Nature Park. A blue-marked hiking trail leads from the village square of Dobřív to Švédský most and then through an avenue to Vodní hamr.

Dobřív lies on long-distance cycle route No. 3, which connects Regensburg and Prague. Cycle route 2251 leads directly from Dobřív into the hills of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area.
