Kakejcov: Hotels and Accommodation

In favorable conditions, the view from Kakejcov extends from the Český les to the Šumava. This view is considered especially rewarding for cycling tourists. Kakejcov lies on the route between Mirošov and Spálené Poříčí.

Nature and Trails

The Kakejcov protected area is both a natural monument and a European Site of Community Importance (SCI) designated to protect the great crested newt. As a natural monument, Kakejcov consists of a small forest pond, a managed meadow, and a forest edge; it protects the critically endangered great crested newt (Triturus cristatus).

Several marked hiking trails and an educational trail run through Kamínky Nature Park.

History and Culture

The Kamýk fortress once stood on the site of today’s Kamínky farmstead. A chapel was also rebuilt in Kakejcov; it was designed to preserve elements of the former chapel.

The mountains Nad Moráskem, Radyně, and Praha are located in the vicinity of Kakejcov. In the wider regional surroundings of Kakejcov are Hlava Mountain, the ruins of Valdek Castle, Svatý Martin Church, Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral, and U Svatého Petra Church.
