Plískov can be explored through its history, the landscape in and around the village, and the destinations in its surroundings.

History

In 1377, Plískov was a Kmetcím farm owned by Jan Drahoň of Újezd. In 1585, Plískov was sold to Ladislav the Elder of Lobkowicz, thereby becoming associated with Zbiroh. While Dr. Strousberg owned the Zbiroh estate, iron ore was mined in Plískov. A Chalcolithic stone hammer was found in the built-up area of Plískov in 1914.

A chapel dating from 1849 stands in Plískov village square and is registered as a protected cultural monument under ÚSKP number 27572/4-2566. The Plískov memorial to those who fell in the First World War was created by Vojtěch Havíř, a stonemason and sculptor from Radnice. Beekeeping was formerly practiced in Plískov; it continues there to this day, although only a few beekeepers still practice it. The composer Josef Poncar spent time in Plískov.

Landscape

The wooded surroundings of Plískov belong to the Radečsko–Křivoklátská vrchovina highlands. The mountains Hřeben, Holý vrch, Beran, and Hejlák lie in the vicinity of Plískov. Also in the surrounding area are the ruins of Valdek Castle, the ruins of Týřov, the U Svatého Petra Church, and the Svatý Martin Church.

There are three protected oak trees in Plískov.

Paths

A circular hiking trail in Plískov passes old log cabins. During the circular hike, a pond covered with water lilies and featuring a rest area lies next to the chapel.
