Křelovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Křelovice lies on a gentle western slope surrounded by meadows and agricultural land. The village is situated at an elevation of 500 to 530 metres.

The Šipín cycling circuit is 48 kilometres long and leads from Rozněvice via Křelovice to Skupeč.

History and Local Parts

Křelovice was first mentioned in writing in 1483 and at that time belonged to the town of Manětín as an appendage. In the same year, Bohuslav ze Švamberka incorporated Křelovice into his domain ruled from Krasíkov Castle (Švamberk).

Pakoslav, a local part of Křelovice, was first mentioned in 1379 as the seat of Vladik Jindřich. The fortress in Pakoslav is mentioned in 1397 as belonging to Frycek z Prostiboře. After the death of Jan Hvozdíř around 1457, it is no longer mentioned.

Mydlovary, also a local part of Křelovice, is mentioned in 1115 in the founding charter of the Benedictine monastery in Kladruby. From 1379, Mydlovary was associated with the Markvart family of Hrádek.

Rozněvice, another local part of Křelovice, was first mentioned in 1273 in a document issued by Pope Gregory X. The Premonstratensian monastery in Teplá owned Rozněvice until 1576; from 1642, Rozněvice once again belonged to the Teplá monastic domain.

In the Area

An information board stands next to the reconstructed memorial to the victims of the First World War. The Rozněvice pond has been reconstructed. There is a chapel in Rozněvice.
