Kaznějov: Hotels and Accommodation

Most of Kaznějov lies in a basin surrounded by forests. Several educational trails, specific links to the kaolin landscape, and routes for cyclists and inline skaters characterize the town.

Nature and Educational Trails

The Kaznějov Educational Trail is 14 km long and includes eight stations at significant sites, most of which are located within the city’s cadastral area. A shortened 7 km variant omits the turnoff to the viewpoint above the kaolin open-pit mine. One station provides information about the valley of the Kaznějovský potok.

In addition, the local tourist educational trail Místní naučný turistický okruh Kaznějov has three information boards. It also includes a covered outdoor seating area next to the Kaznějov railway station building.

History and Landscape

Kaznějov was first mentioned in writing in connection with the founding of the Cistercian monastery in Plasy in the mid-12th century.

In the vicinity of Kaznějov, Kaolinka Kaznějov is classified as a geotourism attraction and geotope. The Kaznějov kaolin open-pit mine is not open to the public there. Cycling Routes and Local Paths

Local cycling route 2304 passes through Kaznějov and is connected to the main cycling routes 35 and 352. The inline skating path in Kaznějov runs from the former ice stadium to the outdoor swimming pool on the left bank of the Kaznějovský potok.

Kaznějov also has a bathing facility or retention basin called “koupaliště Kaznějov”.

Events

Kaznějovský Doběh is a traditional amateur run for all age groups. The Kynologický klub Kaznějov traditionally organizes a spring hiking march in the vicinity of Kaznějov for the general public.
