Nevolice: Hotels and Accommodation

On the village square in Nevolice stand the Chapel of St. Martin and the memorial to those who fell in the First World War. The chapel is located in the centre of the village square, was built in 1879 and is dedicated to Saint Martin, the patron saint of farmers. Next to it stands the memorial, which was erected on 30 May 1926. It commemorates six local citizens who did not return from the First World War and takes the form of a conical granite pylon on a base of cyclopean masonry.

Culture

Nevolice is associated with the prominent writer Alois Jirásek: in 1882, he attended a dance event at the U Vachurů inn and collected material for his novel Psohlavci. Farmstead No. 36 is an example of local folk architecture. A possible historical branch of the Řezenská stezka trade route led from Stráž via Nevolice to Domažlice. In addition, a cooperative mill powered by steam was established in Nevolice.

Landscape

The Nevolický stream flows south of Nevolice through a biocorridor. Most of the Nevolice area consists of arable land and permanent grassland. The landscape includes wooded field margins, tree-lined roads, remnants of tree avenues in the fields and scattered trees.

Trails

Cycle Route 2014 runs through the Nevolice area and is 56 kilometres long. A tourist route also passes through Nevolice. A field path runs parallel to the old hollow way and is used as a tourist trail.

The mountains Spálený vrch, Čerchov, Dreiwappen and Škarmanka are located in the vicinity of Nevolice. In the wider regional surroundings of Nevolice lies the Chammünster church, the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
