Stod: Hotels and accommodations

The STODSKO educational trail begins at Komenského náměstí in Stod. The later section is more suitable for cyclists due to the longer distances between some of the stops.

Culture and history

Stará pošta has a distinctive Baroque façade with three richly decorated gables. As early as 1548, it served as a postal and riding post; its building belonged to the Prague–Plzeň–Klenčí postal route. In 1799, Russian General A. V. Suvorov spent the night here.

The Church of St. Mary Magdalene is a three-nave building with interior furnishings dating from the Baroque to Classicism. The Špitální kaple is a central, hexagonal building with a pyramidal roof and a roof turret dating from the early 18th century. In 1720, it received an altar dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.

The Vehicle Museum Stod displays Volkswagen Beetles and Porsche vehicles. The exhibitions are housed in the buildings of a 16th-century brewery, whose characteristic chimneys bear the year 1544.
