Újezd Nade Mží: Hotels and Accommodation

Újezd nade Mží is first mentioned in writing in a forged founding charter of Kladruby Monastery from 1115 and in a charter of Teplá Monastery from 1242. Cellars and parts of the surrounding walls have survived from the original Renaissance fortress.

The historic appearance of the village includes the Zámecký statek Újezd nade Mží, with its publicly accessible castle park. The Zámecký statek Újezd nade Mží is open every weekend from April to October and daily during the summer holidays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

At the Farmářova stezka of the Zámecký statek Újezd nade Mží, visitors can get to know horses, cows, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, llamas, camels, and ostriches. The year-round exhibition „Jak se dříve žilo“ provides insights into the collection of folk costumes from the Plzeň region and the agriculture of earlier generations. Selected agricultural machinery is displayed in the park around the castle buildings.
