The Příšovská homolka nature monument protects a Tertiary volcano that became extinct during the Diluvium.

Culture and Settlement Pattern

The historic centre of Příšov, including its village chapel, is considered significant from a heritage perspective and merits increased attention and comprehensive protection. The village chapel has a simple bell structure at the apex of a pyramid-shaped roof.

Příšov has partially preserved its historic settlement layout with original agricultural farmsteads. Many of the larger and smaller agricultural farmsteads contain building fabric dating predominantly from 1850 to 1930. The façades of many of these vernacular buildings have retained picturesque decorative stucco; the façades predominantly reflect pseudo-historicist styles, especially Neo-Renaissance.

Under a horse chestnut tree beside road II/180 to Ledce stands a four-sided stone pillar with a severely damaged, less-than-life-size statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. The pillar dates from the late 18th century.

Berdovna Mountain is located in the surroundings of Příšov. Stráž Hill [Chotíkov] lies in the immediate vicinity of Příšov, while Špitál Hill [Horní Bříza] is located in the vicinity of the municipality. Radyně Mountain lies in the wider regional surroundings of Příšov.

Plzen Barholomaeus Church is located in the surroundings of Příšov. The wider regional surroundings also include Novy Dvur Monastery and Svatý Martin Church.

Events

The lighting of the Christmas tree in Příšov took place on 7 December 2024 and 6 December 2025. On Saturday, 21 February 2026, a traditional carnival procession took place through Příšov. On 30 April 2026, the Příšov Volunteer Fire Brigade organised a traditional Maypole raising in Olšiny.

Příšov can be reached via road II/180 from road I/20 between Plzeň and Karlovy Vary.
