Zinkovy: Hotels and accommodation
Žinkovy can be explored through its architectural history, aquatic landscapes and paths through nature.
Culture and history
Žinkovy Castle was built in the second half of the 17th century on the site of an earlier fortress as an early Baroque château. In 1897, it was rebuilt by the Viennese architects H. Helmer and F. Fellner in the Neo-Renaissance style. The Chapel of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at the château was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style with a new three-part altar and rich stucco decoration.
The Žinkovský Templ, a circular gloriette, stands on Františkov Hill near Žinkovy. It was built as an imitation of an ancient temple with eight Tuscan-order columns and originally served as a picnic and hunting retreat for the owners of the Žinkovy estate.
The local history collection of the Žinkovy region is located on the ground floor of the municipal office building on the town square. Larger groups must register their visit by telephone. The Žinkovy Information Centre sells maps, tourist stamps and tourist postcards and offers guided tours of the museum.
Nature and trails
Žinkovy has two large ponds, Labuť and Žinkovský rybník. They share a common water surface and are divided by a bridge connected to the avenue on the opposite side. It is also possible to take a walk around Žinkovy Castle and Labuť Pond.
The Klejnot educational trail is approximately 4.5 km long and includes six stations with information boards, stories and mostly carved animals or play elements. It runs mainly through the forest and is intended for pedestrians.
The restored Šindelářojc Chapel stands by the Dobrá voda spring, whose water is locally attributed with an alleged healing effect. Buzrakov Mountain (Plánický hřeben) is located in the vicinity of Žinkovy. In the immediate surroundings of Žinkovy are the V Korunách hill (Žinkovy-Březí), Ledvina hill (Žinkovy) and Žinkovský templ hill.

The Church of Saint Wenceslas in Nepomuk was rebuilt as a Baroque church in 1735 after the fire of 1734 and decorated with rich sculptural furnishings by Lazar Widmann.
