Lipence: Hotels and Accommodation

Lipence lies mostly in the floodplain on the right bank of the Berounka. To the northwest and west, the river forms the boundary with Radotín and Černošice. There is also an artificial pond on the Lipenecký potok in Lipence’s holiday cottage area.
Landscape and Bodies of Water
The Lipenecký potok rises in the southern part of Lipence. Its entire course lies in the Prague 5 municipal district, in the Lipence cadastral area. The upper course runs through a wooded area in a natural stream bed.
History
Lipany, part of present-day Lipence, was first mentioned in writing in 1115. Lipence was established through the merger of the historic settlements of Lipenec and Lipany.
Water and Leisure
For the 2026 bathing season, Jezero Lipence is listed as a new natural swimming area. The site offers the general public a recreational area with a nature park, lake, and beach. The operator regularly monitors the water quality and publishes test results along with practical information about swimming.
A children’s playground supervised by the municipal administration is located in the lower part of Lipence, on the grounds of Lipenecký statek.
Other Activities
The MK Lipence model aircraft field is located in Prague near the confluence of the Berounka and Vltava rivers. It is accessible by car and within reach of public transport.
The Lipenecký běh will take place once again on its usual route along Českého červeného kříže, Údolí hvězd, and Obsiny streets. Lipenecký Obr 2026 will feature performances by remote-controlled jet fighters, extreme acrobats, helicopters, historic gliders, and model aircraft.
Sports Facilities and Surroundings
Prague City Golf Zbraslav has a driving range with 18 covered and 30 uncovered bays, practice areas, and the Prague City Golf Academy, a training center for young people and adults. The facility is located at Oddechová 886, 155 00, Lipence, Praha 5.
Cycle Route 8100, known as Pražské kolo, continues via Zbraslav and Lipence toward Dolní Černošice.
