Březnice: Cultural Monuments, Židova strouha and Landscape Features

Březnice combines a written mention from 1293 with several specific cultural monuments. This mention refers to Stephanus de Priesnitz. Rural property No. 5 is protected as an immovable cultural monument. Thus, alongside the early written mention, a specific building also forms part of the cultural character of the village.

At the edge of Březnice, near house No. 41, stands a wayside shrine that is likewise protected as an immovable cultural monument. Another wayside shrine is located on the road toward Hodonice and has the same protection status. The two wayside shrines are therefore situated in different village and roadside locations, complementing the indications of the local building and commemorative culture.

The remains of a medieval fortress in Březnice are a sight along the cycling tour through the Bechyňsko region. Here, the historical connection and the preserved remains come together with a regional cycle route. Its location below Bechyně should be distinguished from the nearby section of the stream. The gorge, rocks and caves shape the described landscape as distinct forms within the wider surroundings.

Zdoba is considered a mountain in the vicinity of Březnice. The nearby area also contains two landscape features considered hills: K Čečkovu (Březnice u Bechyně) and Padělky (Záhoří u Bechyně). Both hills retain their respective local references in their names.
