A 26 km cycle route from Netolice via Žernovice to Prachatice follows a moderately difficult trail. Cycle route No. 7 also leads to Žernovice via cycle route 1088. After approximately 2.2 km, cycle route No. 7 to the Zookoutek and around Prachatice reaches the municipality of Žernovice.

Culture

A chapel dating from 1892 stands in the village square of Žernovice. It is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk. There is also a monument to those who fell in the First World War in the village square; it was unveiled in June 1930.

Several stone crosses and wayside shrines can be found in Žernovice and the surrounding area. Three preserved gables in the South Bohemian folk Baroque style can be seen on houses No. 2, 18 and 24 in the village square.

Kobylí Hora is the hill above Žernovice where a small monument stands. This small monument on Kobylí Hora above Žernovice commemorates the crash of an American aircraft.
