Nature and Trails
The Holubovské hadce protected area encompasses a light serpentine pine forest on the slopes of the Křemžský potok. Holubovské hadce is also a South Bohemian location of the critically endangered serpentine pink (Dianthus carthusianorum subsp. capillifrons).
Dívčí Kámen Castle is situated above the confluence of the Křemžský potok and the Vltava; a bathing area is available nearby. Mount Kleť is located in the vicinity of Holubov. The surrounding area also includes the mountains of Skalka and Břevniště, while Mount Vrata lies in the wider regional surroundings of Holubov.
From Holubov, a path runs along the Křemžský potok via a yellow-marked hiking trail to Dívčí Kámen; the distance from the car park is 2.5 km.
Culture and History
The mill complex in Holubov, originally built in the Renaissance style, is a rare surviving testament to the local development of milling from the 16th to the 20th century. Three Renaissance exterior walls of the mill building have been preserved, and their sgraffiti are still partially visible. The mill complex also includes a small power station with a Francis turbine dating from 1929.
The Celtic oppidum of Třísov was an important center in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, located on a trade route connecting Bohemia with the Danube region. The ancient site of Chlumany lies in the wider regional surroundings of Holubov.

The Blanský les Information Centre in Holubov provides information about natural attractions, places of tourist interest, and events in Blanský les and its surroundings. At the Masopustní průvod in Holubov, both the “růžičková koleda” and the “střapatá koleda” are performed; people dance, sing, and wish one another health, happiness, and contentment.
