Nature

The forest south and west of Kuřimany offers good opportunities for relaxation. There are local hiking trails in the vicinity of Kuřimany. Cycle route 1070 also runs through the cadastral area of Kuřimany.

Culture and History

The first written mention of Kuřimany dates back to 1327. A chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk with a Baroque gable stands in the village square. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century.

A cross stands at the crossroads towards Paračov and Milejovice. Near this cross there are a wayside shrine and a spring. There are also wayside crosses along the roads towards Třešovice and Paračov. Two burial mounds were discovered near Kuřimany.

Buses travel on third-class roads. Kuřimany has a bus stop with connections to Strakonice.
