The first written mention of Radimovice u Tábora dates back to 1219. The fortress of Radimovice u Tábora was probably built in the 14th century. During a partial examination of the fortress grounds in 1905, a piece of an iron gauntlet, a key handle with Gothic decoration, and a fragment of a 15th-century knife were found.

A local legend is also connected with the former fortress: According to tradition, a bell from the former fortress is buried in Podedvorný pond.
