Pohnánec: Hotels and Accommodation
Pohnánec lies west of Polánka Nature Park. The protected area extends east of the village and covers 15.6 km². A red-marked hiking trail also passes through Pohnánec.

Nature and Trails
The mountain Homole rises above Pohnánec to a height of 668 metres. The meadows below the summit are considered a viewpoint offering long-distance views, particularly to the west. From Homole, the view extends far across the landscape to the Bohemian Forest.
Below Homole lies the Pod Homolí hiking junction, where three marked hiking trails meet. The landscape around Pohnánec also invites visitors to go for walks. The village also has a natural outdoor swimming pool.
Culture and History
Less than one kilometre south of Pohnánec lies the vanished Polánka fortress. Its first owners were Přibík and Vilém of Polánka in 1382. A newly restored chapel stands in Pohnánec’s village square.
Since 2009, the “Pohnánecká lávka” has been a local tradition. This humorous competition involves crossing a pond.
Connections and Other Places
Pohnánec is connected to Tábor by bus via Chýnov. The “Vítězství u Mladé Vožice” cycling route passes through Pohnánec.
