The U Rozhledny hill [Jindřichův Hradec-Buk] is also located in the immediate vicinity of Polště. Road No. 1236 runs across the dam of Rybník Polom pond between Plavsko and Jindřichův Hradec. The pond’s present form dates back to 1502, when pond builders constructed a new dam for Jindřich IV of Hradec.
