Vystrkov: Hotels and Accommodation

The hillfort site covers approximately 12.5 hectares and is divided by four prominent transverse ramparts.

The fortifications of the Kozárovice–Vystrkov hillfort site were built in the first half of the 10th century. The site was probably a Přemyslid centre of the Vltava region and is mentioned in 1088.

The Vystrkov holiday complex was originally designed as a retreat for senior officials of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. It was built at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s in the forests on the left bank of the Orlík Reservoir; construction was completed in November 1963.

Karavan Orlík campsite is open year-round. The wellness centre at Hotel Orlík includes a large indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, two Finnish saunas with cold-water pools, outdoor lounging areas and a relaxation room. Guests not staying at the hotel can access the wellness centre for a fee.

The historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia” is located in the vicinity of Vystrkov.

Hrad Zvíkov Castle and the Hrby, Bukovec, Vinice and Chlum mountains are located in the vicinity of Vystrkov.

In the wider region around Vystrkov are the Church of Svatý Jan and the ruins of the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast.
