Bezkov is located in the valley around the Gránický potok stream. The village lies away from the main transport routes and therefore has a comparatively peaceful character. Bezkov is also located near the northeastern edge of Podyjí National Park.

Landscape

The Binderberg, Schwalbenfelsen, Příčník and Václavský Kopec mountains are located in the vicinity of Bezkov. Also in the surrounding area are Karlslust Castle, a château, and the wayside shrines Lange Marter, Sankt Hubertus and Heimatkreuz.

Culture and History

The first written record of Bezkov dates back to 1252. In the centre of Bezkov stands the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, dating from 1855. It is a single-nave, oriented building with a slightly recessed pentagonal presbytery.

A wayside shrine at the crossroads to Mašovice in Bezkov dates from 1799. The traditional Bezkover parish feast, Posvícení, commemorates the anniversary of the consecration of this chapel and is celebrated on the first or second Sunday in October.

A Saturday afternoon in June is regularly dedicated to Children's Day. A ceremonial opening of the Advent season also takes place in front of the chapel in Bezkov.
