Lelekovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Babí lom Nature Reserve also includes the cadastral area of Lelekovice. It protects a geologically and geomorphologically unique rock formation with near-natural to natural forest communities and is also significant ornithologically. The area offers climbing walls of lower difficulty, hiking trails and forest paths for recreational running. The freely accessible Babí lom lookout tower has been visited by visitors since 15 May 1961.

The Stezka zdraví trail leads from Mokrá Hora via forest paths through the Ponávka Valley to Lelekovice. It is 9.3 kilometres long, suitable for all age groups and has its own appeal in every season. The route runs mostly through the forest or along its edge and has only gentle climbs.

The Pěšina educational trail runs from the terminus of bus route 41 in Poňava to the crossroads near Jehnice. Along the Pěšina, information boards provide information about plant and animal species found in the area; approximately halfway along the route, there is also a small seating area.

The “In the Footsteps of Defunct Railways” cycle path runs mostly along the former routes of decommissioned or relocated railway lines and passes through Lelekovice. The Petra Bezruč Beer Trail runs mainly through forests on paved and gravel paths and largely away from road traffic.

The Church of St Philip and St James has a Romanesque-Gothic core and is included in the list of state immovable monuments. It is the oldest surviving building in Lelekovice; its origins date back approximately to the middle of the 13th century.

In Lelekovice, the Pilgrimage Route project includes a nature trail with views of the village and the Church of St Philip and St James. The Sedmiradostná pilgrimage route runs between this church in Lelekovice and the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vranov. It is lined with seven chapels symbolising the joys of the Virgin Mary.

The medieval Lelekovice Castle is a systematically researched, now abandoned castle ruin. It is first mentioned in writing in the mid-14th century, and by the beginning of the 15th century it already appears to have been abandoned. Low walls stand on the site, illustrating the location and layout of the castle. At the edge of the site, there is also an information board, while models of the castle can be found in the village square and at the municipal office.
