Veverské Knínice: Hotels and Accommodation

Veverka is designated as a significant landscape feature within the administrative area of Veverské Knínice. Near Veverské Knínice, a system of river bends, wetlands and pools was created along a section of the Knínický potok stream measuring just under one kilometre.

The Church of St Nicholas stands on a slight rise in the eastern part of Veverské Knínice and is protected as an immovable cultural monument. Above Veverské Knínice there is also the Chapel of St Ludmila.

The statue of St John of Nepomuk on the village square is protected as a cultural monument. The Boží muka na Oulehlách wayside shrine is also protected as a cultural monument.

In economic terms, Veverské Knínice was subordinate to the Porta Coeli Monastery. Historically, Veverské Knínice, then called Německé Kněnice, had certain obligations towards the territorial lord's Veveří Castle.

The yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Javůrek via Veverské Knínice to Podkomorská myslivna. Regional bus route 402 connects Brno with Veverské Knínice via Troubsko, Popůvky, the Masaryk Circuit, Ostrovačice and Říčany.
