Medlov: Hotels and Accommodation
Medlov is situated in the open, forest-free landscape of the Dyjsko-svratecký úval on the left bank of the Jihlava. The Medlov area is part of the Niva Jihlava Nature Park.
Culture
The local architectural landmark is the Baroque Church of St. Bartholomew. The core of today’s Church of St. Bartholomew is Gothic and dates back to the late 13th century.
In 1698, a column featuring a group of figures representing the Holy Trinity was erected in Medlov’s village square. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is also one of Medlov’s particularly notable monuments.
Transport
IDS-JMK bus route 154 runs through Medlov and connects the town along the listed route with, among other places, Židlochovice, Hrušovany u Brna, and Ivančice. Events
Bartolomějské hody is a traditional local event in Medlov. “Medlov sobě” is an annual cultural event in Medlov; invitations were issued for 15 June 2024.
Fishing competitions were announced at Medlovské jezero for May. An invitation was issued in Medlov for the “Babské hody” on 12 October at 8 p.m.
