Lomnička lies at an altitude of 277 meters in a rounded valley bordered by low hills. The most significant of these is said to be Mount Květnice. The Besének stream flows through Lomnička.

Culture and village life

The Chapel of St. Bedřich was rebuilt in 1852 by Bedřich Schell of Schellenberk, the former owner of the Tišnov estate. It is said to be a late Baroque building dating from 1756. As a valuable cultural and historical monument, it defines the area of the village square complex in Lomnička.

Local traditions are also associated with established occasions: the Babské hody festival in September has a long tradition in Lomnička. In Lomnička, Masopust follows the Three Kings collection. A wayside shrine was erected on Čimperku in 1866 to commemorate a Prussian-Austrian skirmish near Tišnov.
