Culture
The Hallstatt-period burial mound near Morašice covered a richly furnished grave with a wooden burial chamber approximately 1 metre high, stone enclosure walls up to 1 metre wide, and a burial mound originally 4 to 6 metres high and 26 metres in diameter. In Morašice, there is a memorial erected and blessed in 2014 for the victims of both world wars. A stone altar table here also bears the coat of arms of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, as well as the years 1617 and 1902 and a reference to a restoration.
Festivals and Customs
The Morašický Betlém has been set up every year since 2004 in the village square in front of the Morašice cultural centre. Since 2006, on Christmas Eve, 50 to 60 residents have spontaneously and voluntarily gathered each year at the Betlém in Morašice village square to exchange good wishes and sing well-known Christmas carols together. The Morašice church festival, Posvícení, takes place on the second Sunday in October. Morašice’s established cultural calendar includes the Svatoannenská pouť in July.
Pilgrimage
A paved footpath leads from the access road to the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Poutní bratrstvo od svaté Anny z Morašic connects Morašice with a pilgrimage to Hluboké Mašůvky, 18 km away. Anyone who completes the walk there with the brotherhood can become a member.
