Sobůlky: Hotels and Accommodation
In Sobůlky, the Vala archaeological site preserves a prehistoric hillfort with surviving fortifications; adjoining it is the relic of a medieval castle. The surrounding area combines mixed forests, fields, vineyards and pastureland, while the landscape offers views across the Kyjovsko region to the White Carpathians.
Culture and Traditions
Among the national cultural monuments registered in Sobůlky is the Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, dating from 1721. The protected Chapel of Saint Helena was built by the Dluhoš family in 1734.
The Sobůlské Museum is presented by the municipality as an art photography gallery. Martinské hody takes place in the first half of November, lasts four days and preserves local traditional customs.
Around the turn of April and May, local winemakers hold a wine tasting featuring a wide selection of samples from surrounding municipalities and wine-growing regions.
Trails and Activities
The area around Sobůlky is suitable for walks, hikes and bike trips; cross-country skiing is also possible in winter. The Kyjovská wine trail passes through Sobůlky and then descends into the Kyjovka Valley.
The SyslÃkovo královstvà route features viewpoints, interactive elements, a large slide, a zip line and a public fire pit.
