Hrubá Vrbka: Hotels and Accommodation

The Protestant prayer house dates from 1782 and has an unusual interior layout with two opposing galleries. The relevant area in Hrubá Vrbka has been designated a heritage conservation zone. Another notable architectural landmark is the listed stone chamber at House No. 87: the building, constructed entirely of stone, served as a storeroom.

The Vrbecké Museum is housed in a former Jewish farming estate. It presents collections of traditional folk-culture objects, as well as a furnished farmhouse from the Slovácko region. Another exhibition is dedicated to the legacy of the holy martyr Gorazd II.

Living traditions are also part of the village landscape: the Fašank carnival tradition in Hrubá Vrbka has never been interrupted. The “zaCHRAŇTE stodoly” festival features demonstrations of traditional crafts. The monastery in Hrubá Vrbka was founded in 1992.

Cycle Route No. 5047 runs through the municipality of Hrubá Vrbka and leads between Hrubá Vrbka and Megovka. The Kuželovský Cycle Route also runs through Hrubá Vrbka, Kuželov and Megovka. The red-marked M. Kudeříková hiking trail runs along the southern boundary of the cadastral area of Hrubá Vrbka.

Bus route 935 provides connections between the villages of Kuželov, Hrubá Vrbka, Malá Vrbka and Velká nad Veličkou.

The Vrbecko-Kuželovská educational trail passes through a picturesque landscape on the edge of the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area in the vicinity of Kuželov.
