Starý Poddvorov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Kaplička sv. Martina se zvonicí chapel, built in 1855, stands in the village square of Starý Poddvorov. The Dětský folklorní soubor Kordulka children's folklore ensemble was founded in September 1996 at the primary school in Starý Poddvorov. The Dětské krojované hody revived by Kordulka grew from a local event into a festival regularly attended by ensembles from the surrounding regions as well as from Poland and Slovakia.

Starý Poddvorov is also home to the costume rental service for the Podluží ethnographic region. Individual costume parts and complete costumes can be rented by prior telephone arrangement.

The marked Podluží cycling route passes through Starý Poddvorov and is part of the Moravské vinařské stezky network. A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through the village and runs via Mikulčice, Josefov, Nový Poddvorov, Starý Poddvorov, Hodonín and Vlkoš.

Vyšicko [Mutěnice] is a mountain in the area around Starý Poddvorov. Díly na Vyšicku [Dolní Bojanovice] is a hill in the immediate vicinity. The mountains Nedánov and Wechselberg are located in the wider regional area.

Svätá Margaréta is a church in the area around Starý Poddvorov. The wider regional area also includes Holíčsky zámok and Pohansko, both castles, as well as Dívčí Hrady, a ruin.

The grounds of the Větrný mlýn Starý Poddvorov windmill are open year-round; the windmill can also be viewed from the outside without a guided tour.

There is a stand run by local winemakers on the grounds. The winemakers take turns, so visitors can taste wines from a different producer on each visit; at least on weekends, one winemaker is present.
