Syrovín: Hotels and accommodations

At the southern edge of Syrovín stands the Chapel of Panny Marie Sedmibolestné, dating from 1888 and listed as a cultural monument. In the centre of the locality is the Baroque Church of Obrácení sv. Pavla. It dates from 1713 to 1716 and was built at the expense of the Syrovín priest Pavel Jaroš. At the same time, it is considered an architecturally valuable Baroque building in a prominent location.

Another sacred building is the Chapel of Panny Marie Lurdské on the road to Újezdec, dating from 1940. Opposite the municipal office, a restored fire engine from 1899 is also displayed in a glass case.

Viticulture in Syrovín had already attracted the attention of the inhabitants since the beginning of the 17th century. At present, mainly Burgundské šedé, white varieties or Ryzlink are grown on an area of 32 ha. The marked Bzenecká wine route passes through Újezdec, Syrovín and Těmice.

Císařské hody takes place every year on the third Saturday and Sunday in October. The Sunday programme includes a festive mass in the local church. The Závod Velkou Moravou race is also held every year in September. The route leads through the natural surroundings of the Slovácko – Buchlovské hory (Chřiby) region, through fields, meadows and vineyards.

Hrad Buchlov, a castle, is located in the vicinity of Syrovín. Záhumenice [Hostějov] is a hill in the immediate surroundings. The mountains Rozštípená skála, Ocásek and Holý Kopec are also located nearby.

The wider regional surroundings of Syrovín include Holíčsky zámok as a château, Milotice château park as a park and Svätá Margaréta as a church.
